This was very helpful although some of miles actual complete solos would have been nice. Things such as Miles Stones *(The newer one) Wonderful stuff. Thank you so much
I highly recommend this book to any serious Jazz composer. Useful, practical and easy to understand. My bible from now on. I was looking for something like this for so long. Much better than most theretical Jazz books and way cheaper also.
I've gone back to this book many times over 10 years. My only gripe is there should have been a second volume--all of in a silent way, big fun and on the corner for instance. But the analyses are compact and clear.
