I have seen some of the reviews talking about the mouthwatering pictures....I have the paperback and the only picture is the one you see on the cover! And "complete" is a serious overstatement. The book is short, limited recipes, no discussion about doneness and temperature/time adjustment. So many, many other free resources on the web and many better books. Recommend a skip on this one.
There are so many great recipes in this book! Anything you’ve ever wanted to make, and dishes you may not have heard of are here. There is a section for EVERYTHING: breakfast, snacks, different meats, and vegetarian and vegan meals. There is even a section for eggs (yes, there are many different ways to prepare an egg). One section I appreciated, was the section for sauces and broths. I like to make my own soup, but I’ve never been completely sure of what to add to the broth, so the recipe for chicken broth definitely comes in handy. All of the recipes are easy to follow and well written, and there is definitely something for everyone.
Very disappointed! Some of the recipes aren't even complete. Would send back for refund but the shipping cost is almost the same as the cost of the book
Love the fact that this book offers a very thorough chart to guide you to time/temp for a variety of meats, plus different degrees of doneness. Most of the other recipes are so-so; I haven't found a really good sous vide cookbook that contains great recipes.
I watch what I eat, this book has nutritional breakdown for the recipes, eyeballing it looks quite accurate. It uses a variety of cooking utensils to use with your Sous Vide. I agree on the photographs. Not well illustrated.
Decent sous vide book for beginners. Some recipes I'd never use, such as hour long "boiled" eggs, but there are always recipes you dont like in any book. I like the information about the process.
Recommend you not waste your money on this book. Spend a few more dollars and get a quality book such as Sous Vide at home by Lisa Fetterman. Hard to believe people gave this book five stars.
This book’s contents look as if someone just typed it up at home and self published it. There appear to be some tasty meals in it though. The cover of the book misleads you to think it is produced well. Meh
